Tourists departing from Hervey Bay can pass through Boat Harbor Drive and turn on Elizabeth Street. After a left turn on River Heads Road, you only need to follow the road that takes you to the ferry loading area.

Visitors departing from Maryborough should take the Maryborough-Hervey Bay road that leads to the Boral Road exit. From there on, take a right turn into River Heads road, where you can board the ferry to Fraser Island.

Ferries depart from Kingfisher Bay Resort on a daily basis at 7.50am, 10.30am, 5pm and 8.30pm.

Kingfisher Bay Resort does offer a variety of packages to suit the needs of tourists visiting Fraser Island.

The Group Saver Package, for example, is ideal for larger groups that include 6 people or more. Included in this package is an incredibly comfortable barge transfer.

Kingfisher Bay Resort is also reputed for its Off Peak Packages, whereby you can benefit from a 10% discount on your stay.

This particular package is applicable to tourists who are staying for a minimum of 10 nights.

Visitors who want to spend the most of their time surfing in Fraser Island’s gloriously cool waters will be delighted to know the resort also has a special Solo Surfer package.

This package is available for 11 or 10 nights only.
